  Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy
Balancing our Hormones:
Estrogen • Progesterone • Testosterone

Estrogen…
is a hormone that gives a woman her femininity. It prepares the womb during menstruation cycle for implantation (the highest level is around ovulation). Our eyes get moisture from estrogen. The vagina is lubricated with it. Estrogen causes the breasts to be full. The skin gets its glow from it. It keeps the mind sharp and helps to maintain memory, while stabilizing the emotions. Estrogen is believed to play an important role in maintaining blood sugar levels and may help as a preventative to osteoporosis, Alzheimer's, heart disease, colon cancer, Parkinson's, incontinence and tooth loss.

There are multiple forms of Estrogen. It is imperative to keep your hormones in balance, but many times estrogen can become dominant. Conditions that can trigger estrogen dominance are:
*stress *illness *diet high in sugar or starch *sluggish liver *hysterectomy *birth control pills

Low estrogen symptoms:

Progesterone…

has many functions as well. It prepares the uterus for conception and thickens the uterine lining. Natural anti-depressants are triggered by progesterone. Our hair, skin and nails benefit from it. Progesterone stimulates energy by the burning of fat and also serves as a diuretic. Balanced progesterone may serve as protection against endometrial cancer, fibrocystic breasts, breast cancer and osteoporosis. The thyroid is supported by progesterone and regulates the body temperature.

Testosterone…
known to many as the male hormone, testosterone give us the strength to be the wife, mother, housekeeper, nurse, cook and work outside the home. It regulates the sex drive (increases sexual sensation). Vaginal elasticity, lubrication and muscle strength are also benefits from testosterone.

Balance….
To regain control of our lives, our hormones need to be balanced . Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy is the process of replenishing our hormones with plant derivative hormones that are identical to ours. The goal is to bring our hormone levels back to when we actually felt good. Unfortunately, many of us do not recall the last time that was. We have suffered for so long and attributed it to the aging process.

Beyond the surface….

The thyroid must be functioning properly in order for the hormones to be balanced. Not only do we need to look at the thyroid; diet and nutrition play a very important role. Consult with your Dr. on how you can have your hormones tested. We did not get where we are overnight and reversing it will take time. Inquire with your Dr. and compounding pharmacist to see how you can feel vibrant again.

Compliance….

There are many methods of balancing the hormones. For those that are not compliant with capsules; creams and troches are also available. We will "start low and go slow" to reach a desirable way of living. "I am woman, hear me roar…"There is a compounding pharmacy just around the corner that will work with you and your Dr. to bring vitality back into your life. What are you waiting for? Call today.
