  What is a compounding pharmacy?
A compounding pharmacy mixes the prescription in their lab, per Drs. orders.

What is compounding?
We make prescriptions specific to the patient using a formula with specific chemicals. Therefore; the patient’s need will determine the strength and form of medication.

Are the compounds FDA approved?
The chemicals we use are FDA approved and we compound them together per doctor’s order.

What are some compounds you make?
Vials for allergy and asthma patients, poison ivy cream, bottom balm for babies with diaper rash, lip balm for cold sores, bio-identical hormones, shingles cream, topicals for neuropathic pain, burn and wound creams, thyroid medication.

Are compounds covered by insurance?
Fort Wayne Custom Rx does not process insurance, but we always give you a universal insurance claim form to send in to your insurance company.

Are you certified to make sterile products?
Yes, we have a USP 797 clean room that is inspected and recertified every six months at Fort Wayne Custom Rx.

Do you carry other products/services and what are they?
Yes, FW Custom Rx does consultations for a minimal fee & we carry quality nutrients/supplements, informational books.

What are your hours?
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 9 AM to 5 PM; Thursdays 8 Am to 7 PM;  Closed on Major Holidays.
