We make prescriptions specific to the patient using a formula with specific chemicals. The patient’s need will determine the strength and form of medication.

What is a compounding pharmacy?
A compounding pharmacy mixes the prescription in their lab as prescribed by a Doctor.

Are the compounds FDA approved?
The chemicals we use are FDA approved and we compound them together per doctor’s order.

What are some compounds you make?
Bio-identical hormones, inhalation medications for allergy and asthma patients, thyroid medication, lip balm for cold sores, shingles cream, topicals for neuropathic pain, burn and wound creams.

Are compounds covered by insurance?
Fort Wayne Custom Rx does not process insurance, but we always give you a universal insurance claim form to send in to your insurance company.

Are you certified to make sterile products?
Yes, we have a USP 797 clean room that is inspected and recertified every six months at Fort Wayne Custom Rx.

Do you carry other products/services and what are they?
Fort Wayne Custom Rx offers several counseling services including hormone counseling, nutrition counseling, medication management, and diabetes education. We carry a full line of pharmaceutical-grade nutritional supplements from companies such as Orthomolecular, Pure Encapsulations, Thorne, Metagenics, Douglas Labs, and many more.
